Hey friends, I’m Victoria

This blog is my little corner of the internet where I share fashion, travel, my love for nature, and lots of in between! I started this page in 2019 around the time I launched my business.

I love expressing my style through photography so you’ll see lots of outfit inspiration posts here but I also share more day-to-day things including business tips and journal entries. I hope my content can bring some value to your life and that you will join me in spreading a little sunshine!

My style

My style doesn’t quite fit under any one umbrella term but boho comes the closest. I’m drawn to fashion that reminds me of the earth and nature, both in hue and texture. I was a wild child growing up, constantly roaming and soaking up all nature had to offer me and I love fashion that reminds me of this. I also love vibrant bursts of color and beautiful, bold patterns. A lot of vintage items also catch my eye because of their unique fits, patterns, and textures.

Shopping Sustainable

I buy clothing from sustainable sources somewhere around 80% of the time, if I had to guess. I’m sharing this number with you because I’ve really tried to shift my shopping habits so that they don’t hurt our beautiful planet; I hope that you’ll join me in this! Perfection is not the goal here but instead, it’s important to simply be aware and try to do better. If we all work towards increasing our awareness and changing our purchasing habits slowly (but steadily) then we really can shift the tide of fashion and decrease the amount of damage this sector does to the environment. Your power to change this industry is in the money you spend and I recommend buying quality, second hand, or from a small business whenever you can. We really can save the earth, all while enjoying the fun fashion can bring into our lives!

While I definitely have brands that I love and recommend more than others, I buy based on style first, closely followed by quality. I’m drawn to texture and I can tell when an item was lovingly made to last. There are stores I was a regular customer at not so long ago that I now cringe going into because just feeling their clothing shows how low quality and mass produced it is. I also see these brand flooding the thrift stores and eventually ending up in landfills because they don’t hold up well. I do buy fast fashion occasionally if I feel the style outweighs the loss in craftsmanship or if I’ve exhausted all sustainable options in my price point and still cannot find what I need. Moderation is key for me and it’s what I always recommend to others.

Some random things about me

I love nature and live in Georgia for now so that I can enjoy it as many months as possible out of the year. Exploration is a necessity for me to be happy whether it’s local exploration or global travel. I’ve been this way since I was a kid and I’ve chosen my lifestyle and jobs over the years to foster this! Working out, especially running, is a regular part of my routine and necessary to my mental health I also love hiking, snorkeling, and playing just about any sport. I love animals and believe they are all so unique and play a necessary, vital role in the ecosystem. I have two dogs, Daisy and Bluey.

If you read all of that then thank you! I hope you find my content useful and I hope you’re inspired my style. I’m here to share my personal experience and my creative content and I’m never here to judge, preach, or tell you how you should live. I’m very much a believer that we are all on our own journey and have to do what is best for ourselves and I hope this is reflected in my content.
